Job Summary:
Conducts audits of HP Hood LLC suppliers including ingredients, packaging, warehouses and external contract manufacturers. This position is charged with conducting an accurate assessment of suppliers against the Hood Supplier Expectations Manual and audit procedure. This position works with Plant Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs and Corporate FSQ.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel: Average 80% travel
- Assist Manager, Supply Chain Quality in conducting audits at supplier’s facilities.
- Audit facilities that supply HP Hood LLC for food safety and food quality.
- Holds suppliers accountable for corrective and preventive action and monitors for subsequent improved results.
- Secure Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s) for audits as appropriate.
- Work with Corporate FSQ, Procurement and R&D to ensure supplier information is accurate and correct.
- Reviewing and approving documentation for all suppliers and items within document management software.
- Work with R&D, Master Planning, and Strategic Sourcing to prioritize supplier audits for the business needs.
- Keep Director/Manager, FSQ Supply Chain informed of activities or food safety issues that may require his/her attention.
- Attend meetings as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Performs special projects as assigned by Director, FSQ Supply Chain.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in (Food/Dairy Science, Microbiology, and Chemistry) and/or a minimum of 3 years of Food, Beverage or Quality Assurance experience, Dairy preferred.
- At least 1 year of auditing experience desired.
- GFSI experience preferred.
- Experience with PLM software preferred.
- Production work experience desired.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations including Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and quality systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and overall digital literacy required.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
The pay range for this position is
$92,500 - $102,600 USD
