Your Role

We’re hiring a Senior Data Analyst to bridge the gap between our technical backend and business leadership. You’ll leverage deep domain expertise to solve ambiguous problems and partner with executives to drive organizational impact, all while making significant contributions to Hudl’s data context.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll:

  • Build the ‘Business Layer’. You’ll lead complex analytical projects and be accountable for ensuring the reality on the ground is codified into our centralized context and reflected accurately in the data warehouse.
  • Be a Strategic Partner. You’ll work independently with VP+ level leadership to guide them through data interpretation. You’ll act as a translator between AI-generated insights and executive action, ensuring recommendations are grounded in Hudl’s strategic reality.
  • Engineer Context. You’ll ensure our data models don’t just contain numbers, but the full business logic required for AI tools to provide accurate and Hudl-relevant answers. You’ll define how new business initiatives are measured and integrated into the wider data ecosystem.
  • Drive Innovation. You’ll pilot AI tools for domain-relevant analyses (like predictive modeling or anomaly detection) and use industry best practices to push the boundaries of our team’s output.
  • Own the Roadmap. You’ll define the strategy for multi-phase projects, securing buy-in by aligning with company priorities and ensuring stakeholders see tangible value upon completion.

This role requires 3 days in the office per week, so we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in Barcelona.

Must-Haves

  • Analytical Fluency. You write SQL and DBT at a very high level. You can navigate large codebases and are comfortable being the subject matter expert for complex logic (like measuring net retention across multiple billing systems).
  • Technically Versatile. You use your technical skills to solidify business logic so it is reusable and scalable across the entire organization.
  • A Productive Communicator. You are respectfully blunt in a way that is efficient. You write and speak with clarity, focusing on difficult trade-offs and unblocking your team.
  • Strategic Mindset. You can identify the strategic value of tasks, ensuring you don’t sacrifice progress on high-stakes projects by focusing too much on small things.

Nice-to-Haves

  • AI & Predictive Modeling. Experience using AI-driven discovery tools to turn ambiguous stakeholder commentary into precise, codified metrics.
  • Domain Expertise. Specific experience in Sales, Product, or Finance data domains.

Our Role

  • Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
  • Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you’re located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is displayed below—starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.

We make compensation decisions based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.

Inclusion at Hudl

Hudl is an equal opportunity employer. Through our actions, behaviors and attitude, we’ll create an environment where everyone, no matter their differences, feels like they belong.

We offer resources to ensure our employees feel safe bringing their authentic selves to work, including employee resource groups and communities. But we recognize there’s ongoing work to be done, which is why we track our efforts and commitments in annual inclusion reports

We also know imposter syndrome is real and the confidence gap can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. Please don’t hesitate to apply—we’d love to hear from you.
