Account Executive II - AFL & Rugby League

Sydney, Australia

At Hudl, we build great teams. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. We work hard to provide a culture where everyone feels supported, and our employees feel it—their votes helped us become one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces.

We think of ourselves as the team behind the team, supporting the lifelong impact sports can have: the lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring coaches; and the opportunities to reach new heights. That’s why we help teams from all over the world see their game differently. Our products make it easier for coaches and athletes at any level to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and more.

Your Role

We are looking for a motivated, high-energy Account Executive to join our team in Sydney and help us scale our presence within the semi-pro and community sports markets across Australia. This is a high-volume, fast-paced role where you will be the face of our brand. You won't just be managing a few accounts—you will be managing a massive pipeline, reaching out to, onboarding, and supporting hundreds of community AFL and Rugby League (including QRL + NSWRL) clubs. As a key member of our sales team, you’ll manage the full sales cycle. Your days will be dynamic: managing a high volume of outbound activity, running product demonstrations, and closing deals. You’ll help local coaches, club presidents, and volunteers understand how our technology can professionalize their workflows and improve on-field results. Whether you’re running a video demo from the office or meeting a local club president at the grounds, your goal is to bring elite-level sports tech to the grassroots community.

Location: Sydney, Australia (Hybrid: 3 days in-office per week)

Essentials (What you bring to the team)

  • Foundational Sales Experience: You have 1+ years of B2B sales, outbound business development (BDR/SDR), or account management experience. You know how to handle objections, manage a pipeline, and close deals.
  • A True Passion for Sport: You live and breathe sport. Whether you play, coach, volunteer, or are a die-hard fan, a deep love and understanding of AFL and/or Rugby League is essential to "speaking the language" of our customers.
  • Volume Management: You are incredibly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The idea of managing a high volume of outreach and keeping track of hundreds of different community clubs excites you.
  • Communication Skills: You are a natural "people person" who builds rapport instantly. You can talk to anyone—from a corporate board member to a local club volunteer—and explain ideas in a simple, enthusiastic way.
  • Tech-Savvy & Adaptable: You pick up new software quickly. You don’t need to be a coder, but you should be comfortable navigating data, apps, and CRM tools (like Salesforce or HubSpot).
  • Drive & Ownership: You are self-motivated and hungry to hunt for new business. You don't wait for opportunities to come to you; you enjoy the thrill of the chase.
  • Travel: You’re excited to get out of the office and meet our customers where they are (regular travel across Australia to visit local clubs and weekend tournaments is a key part of this role).

Nice-to-Haves (The Differentiators)

  • Community Connections: Direct experience dealing with local grassroots sports clubs, whether through sports management studies, university games, or local club administration.
  • Tech Sales Background: Previous experience selling software (SaaS) or working with data-driven products.
  • Structured Sales Training: Familiarity with structured sales processes, pipeline management, and forecasting.
