OPPORTUNITY
The primary purpose of this position is to direct and assist the operations of the Plant Maintenance personnel to meet the operational, safety and regulatory requirements for the facility and that Hydrite procedures and policies are followed.

Maintenance Supervisor
Work with the SQRA Coordinator and Plant Manager to ensure that safety and regulatory issues are addressed, and training is conducted to meet Hydrite and regulatory agency requirements.
Responsible for supervising the activities, procedures and standards of performance for all Maintenance personnel following established SOP’s, safety, and regulatory policies.
Responsible for ensuring that plant equipment is maintained to operate safely and efficiently and that repairs/preventative maintenance are conducted on a timely basis.
Responsible for development and maintenance of our Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Maximo, our asset management and preventative maintenance system. This includes entering work orders and preventative maintenance schedules, equipment histories and parts inventories into the system.
Collaborate with plant leadership to ensure equipment maintenance work order scheduled are aligned with production priorities
Collaborate with plant leadership with executing all high risk maintenance requiring LO/TO, Line Breaks, Hot Work and Confined Space Entry.
Responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities and formulating project proposals for addressing them.
Ensure that standard operating procedure documents are current and trained. Update procedures effecting the Maintenance Department as necessary to maintain consistency with current plant practices.
Responsible for managing plant capital projects assigned and all associated MOC related action items
Responsible for the evaluation and development of Maintenance personnel. This includes a formal performance evaluation in the Spring, and an informal performance evaluation in the Fall, and other informal evaluations as needed. Conduct performance appraisals at a minimum of one formal in the Spring and informal (one-page summary) in the Fall.
Guides employee performance and development through the use of daily communication and annual performance evaluations.
Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
Guide personnel in charge of process controls to advance the systems in the plant and maintain adequate documentation and drawings.
Organize and maintain a vendors file for equipment, parts, etc.
Develop and execute corrective actions for deficiencies found during regular plant audits.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or >5 years relevant technical experience is required.
Previous chemical processing experience with supervisory or management experience preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with employees and management.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of CMMS, Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
Must have an acceptable driving record.

Manufacturing Manager
The primary purpose of this position is to manage all processes, equipment, and personnel appropriately to meet raw material, production, and shipping demands associated with Batch Production and Truck Loading Operations at Terre Haute. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
This position is on-site at our plant in Terre Haute.
Primary responsibilities include:
Leads and supports Hydrite’s Safety Vision, Mission and Values.
Plan and direct production, people power, and daily activities in the Batch Production and Truck Loading areas to meet customer demands.
Monitor customers’ telemetric tank levels for loading and shipment planning.
Work with Logistics Coordinator, Production Planner, and transportation carriers to ensure timely and efficient loading of products to meet customer expectations.
Ensure all production paperwork (including Batch Records) is accurately filled out and entered into the Infor system and all special instructions are followed.
Coach production personnel to have a can-do attitude that places an emphasis on safety, regulatory, and food compliance.
Ensure that safety and regulatory compliance training is conducted to meet Hydrite and regulatory agency requirements.
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices, including housekeeping standards.
Continuously evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to the plant processes and operating procedures to improve the safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency in the plant.
Monitor plant equipment to ensure it is maintained to operate safely and efficiently. Coordinate with the maintenance department so that all repairs are made on a timely basis.
Review expenses with the Plant Manager to identify and implement cost reduction activities and ensure expenses are controlled at or below budgeted levels.
Own and develop training programs for assigned areas’ activities.
Own and develop safety programs (such as Lockout/Tagout) for assigned areas.
Guide employee performance and development through the use of daily communication and annual performance evaluations.
Serve on Branch Emergency Response Team, including Incident Commander when appropriate.
Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide highest degree of quality products and services to internal and external customers.
Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in technical or management field preferred.
Minimum of two years of chemical production/process engineering environment.
Continuous process supervision experience required.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Production Operator- Weekend Nights

OPPORTUNITY
The primary purpose of this position is to address the operational needs such as handling, manufacturing and loading of industrial chemicals to meet customer demand. Through the environmentally safe operations of the facility, in effective and efficient manner, Production Operator plays an important role in helping Hydrite Chemical Company supply its customers with a quality product in a timely fashion. Production Operator always strives for continuous improvement in his performance to achieve a goal of 100% satisfaction for both internal and external customers. This role will also have the responsibility of a Floater position is to cover any planned absences in Continuous Operations or the Truck Bay, such as vacation and long-term absences.
The primary hours of this position are Friday through Sunday with Alternating Thursdays from 7pm-7:30am.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
Move bulk trailers to and from the truck bay following safety rules for driving the tractor trailers
Unload raw materials following the Tank Truck Bulk Unloading SOP
Manufacture finished products in the production equipment according to a specific production worksheet
Load bulk trailers following the Tank Truck Bulk Loading SOP
Create schedules for all incoming and outgoing materials, as well as manufactured products
Maintain and update inventory of chemicals on PRISM system
Responsible for following “Good Manufacturing Practices” in manufacturing processes and housekeeping in all interior and exterior areas of the facility.
Comply with company’s safety and regulatory programs. Always perform any task in a safe and environmentally sound way.
Participate in mandatory and processes specific
Communicate to your supervisor compliance, safety, and equipment needs
Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned
Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform safety inspections as directed by the supervisor
Actively participate in Preventative Maintenance Program
Perform maintenance tasks during plant shutdowns or on as needed basis
Works with other staff members to maintain workload Provides back-up support as necessary.
Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Production Supervisor, and under directions of a Shift Leader work closely with members of QC, production and maintenance departments.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA
2+ years of Delta V experience
Chemical manufacturing experience preferred
Must be self-motivated and be able to work
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak
Valid drivers license required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand or walk up to 12 hours per
Must be able to lift up to 50 multiple times per shift, lift 100 lbs. on occasion.
Must be able to climb steps and ladders up to 40 feet high several times
Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day without restrictions. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines.
Must meet DOT vision requirements
Due to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited
