The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious and hardworking Business Analyst to support a fast, driven Director of Finance, who is pushing the boundaries and doing exciting things at a global identity and biometric start-up. The main tasks will include identifying process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existent metrics, analyzing data, and collaborating with internal teams. This individual will enable effective decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. The role will also involve day-to-day support of the HoSP's agenda and meetings.

Responsibilities: 

  • Development of various types of financial models.
  • Develop and follow-up on budget performance models and day to day expense analysis.
  • Support in relevant financial transactions (Funding, M&A, etc.)
  • Investor report preparation and review of materials, including investment memoranda, management presentations, and pitchbooks.
  • Create presentations for investor reports.
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of day-to-day transactions.
  • Support the Finance Director

Requirements:

  • Completed a degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, data engineering/scientist
  • Some industry experience ideal, either at internship or entry level
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills with full proficiency in English
  • At least intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work independently with little supervision
  • Solid organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
  • Ability to dive deep and maintain incredible attention to detail
  • Confident, resilient, reliable and collegiate
  • Global mindset, understand time zones, cultural nuance and different working practices
  • Flexible and adaptable – a hands-on, can-do attitude is essential
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Flexible to provide some support out of hours and attend to unexpected issues at short notice
  • Ideal: advanced knowledge of TABLEAU/Power Query, intermediate (e.g., vlookup) / advanced Excel skills (e.g., Write/edit VBA), and a basic to advanced knowledge of SQL (all join types, group by, order by, calculated columns).
