Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized SOC Coordinator to join our Security Operations Center. As a SOC Coordinator at Intelligent Technical Solutions you will play a crucial role in managing scheduling, coordinating between various team members, and stepping in to assist as required. Reporting to the SOC Manager, this part-time role requires a flexible, team-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the schedule for the SOC team, ensuring coverage at all times.
  • Act as a liaison between various team members, facilitating smooth communication and cooperation.
  • Step in to assist in SOC operations as needed, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment within the SOC.
  • Collaborate with the SOC Manager and other stakeholders to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity of the SOC team.

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a coordinating or scheduling role, preferably within a technology or cybersecurity context.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and SOC operations.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling tools and software.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and step into various roles as needed.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Job KPI's

  • Scheduling Accuracy: The ability to correctly schedule shifts ensuring that there are no gaps and that all required roles and shifts are adequately covered.
  • Response Time: The speed at which the SOC Coordinator can respond to scheduling changes or issues. This might include sick leave, unplanned overtime, or other scheduling disruptions.
  • Task Completion Rate: As the SOC Coordinator may have to step into various roles, the rate at which they complete assigned tasks effectively and accurately can be a valuable metric.
  • Team Satisfaction: Since this role directly affects other team members, their satisfaction with the scheduling process and communication can be a key measure. This could be assessed through regular surveys or feedback sessions.
  • Communication Efficiency: The effectiveness and timeliness of communication between different team members, shifts, or departments could also be a KPI. This might be measured by looking at response times, the speed of issue resolution, or feedback from team members.
  • Reduction in Scheduling Conflicts: A reduction in the number of scheduling issues or conflicts over time could be a good indicator of the SOC Coordinator's effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A home office set up that meets the following:
    • A working computer with minimum of 8gb RAM, i5 Windows10 or macOS Big Sur. 
    • Stable internet connection with at least 5mbps download and upload)
    • HD webcam
    • A quality headset with noise cancellation feature for meetings. 
    • A mobile phone that has the capacity to install the Microsoft Authentication app.
  • A very strong cultural fit the ITS way (Our core values will be discussed during the interview) 
  • Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written 
  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week - 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Pacific Standard Time (PST) from Monday to Friday.
  • Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments.
  • Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants).

Compensation

Pay rates starts at $5.00/hr and vary by experience and location.
