The Role

Are you ready to join an innovative agency that is defining the future of engagement in healthcare? JPA Health is seeking a Research Analyst -- with specialized experience in AI prompt generation -- to join our AI & Research Solutions team.

In this role, you will leverage advanced AI agents and diverse datasets to conduct secondary research -- identifying key knowledge, trends, and best practices across healthcare marketing and communications. You will synthesize findings into actionable best practice guides and research deliverables, such as competitive landscape analyses and audience insight reports, that empower internal teams and clients to make data-driven decisions.

This position is a full-time, hybrid role reporting to any JPA office (i.e., Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, New York City) 2 days per week and working remotely 3 days per week.

At JPA Health, we are visionaries, architects of transformation, and passionate stewards of health innovation. As a leader in data science, analytics, medical communications, and marketing, we are redefining how data-driven insights transform healthcare outcomes.

You will be part of a curious, collaborative organization of innovators obsessed with thinking bigger, better, and doing more. We are on a mission to make the world healthier, and we invite you to be part of this extraordinary journey. If you are driven by purpose, inspired by challenge, and eager to leave a lasting mark on the world of health innovation, we want to hear from you.

The Responsibilities

  • Harness the power of AI agents, large language models, and advanced analytics tools to conduct comprehensive secondary research across healthcare, life sciences, and communication topics
  • Collaborate with industry-leading vendors to craft best practice guides and research reports (e.g., competitive research, audience segmentation, landscape analyses) that empower our clients to make insight-driven decisions
  • Ensure that Gretel -- our proprietary intelligence platform -- remains continuously updated with the latest best practice research relevant to medical communications, marketing, public relations, public health and patient advocacy
  • Partner closely with the Gretel product team to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and transformative potential of all research and data within the platform
  • Regularly review and validate research sources, ensuring alignment with current industry standards and JPA Health’s commitment to quality and innovation
  • Present findings to internal teams and clients in a clear, compelling manner—both in writing and verbally
  • Work seamlessly across a team of data scientists, AI research experts, market research specialists and omnichannel engagement specialists to deliver actionable insights and inform strategy
  • Flex across a variety of fast-paced assignments related to market research, data analytics, AI and machine learning
  • Support the team in refining processes to drive efficiency, effectiveness and high-quality deliverables
  • Be organized, effective and efficient while juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Think beyond the data to the real-world impact – understand and evangelize the value of your work across the agency
  • Eagerly embrace working with people across the agency to solve problems using your skills and expertise to provide solutions

About You

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, plus 1-2 years of experience in research in healthcare
  • Demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail and ability to rapidly build new skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience using AI/ML tools for market research
  • Experience loading data and running structured AI prompts and Boolean logic
  • Demonstrated experience in using AI agents (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and data platforms for secondary research.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
  • Ability to build reports by aggregating data across both AI and non-AI sources
  • Ability to prepare and clean data for use in large language models (LLMs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) as well as Python and SQL

We would be thrilled if you also have:

  • Familiarity with healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries is highly desirable.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
