We are actively searching for an experienced Facilities Engineer for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Assessment, Exercise, and Modeling & Simulation Support (AEMSS) Blue Team. You will work closely with engineers and other inspection teams to conduct assessments of all aspects of the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. The inspections will increase the customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts on mission execution capability and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities. An active security clearance at the TS-SCI Eligible level is required for this position.
💼What You'll Do
- Conduct on-site assessments of facilities, infrastructure, and operational programs to identify vulnerabilities, mission impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies to enhance operational readiness and security posture.
- Lead and support infrastructure inspections, construction oversight activities, and facility lifecycle assessments across a variety of government and defense-related environments.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, security personnel, and external stakeholders to evaluate facility conditions, construction compliance, operational effectiveness, and adherence to Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
- Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of facility modernization, sustainment, and capital improvement initiatives while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Develop and implement facility maintenance protocols, inspection standards, and contractor performance evaluation processes to support mission-critical infrastructure operations.
- Facilitate coordination and communication among DoD organizations, installation leadership, contractors, and cross-functional teams to support infrastructure resilience and mission assurance initiatives.
- Ensure proper security measures are maintained for facilities and infrastructure operations, collaborating with security professionals and vendors to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with government security standards.
🧠What You Bring to the Table
- A bachelor’s degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of experience supporting facilities engineering, infrastructure operations, construction oversight, civil engineering programs, or installation management within military, government, or large-scale commercial environments.
- Must have and maintain an active government security clearance at the TS/SCI Eligible level.
- Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure assessments, construction inspections, facility sustainment programs, and capital improvement initiatives for complex operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, facility lifecycle planning, safety and environmental compliance requirements, and applicable building codes and regulations.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, architects, and government stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, budgets, and operational requirements.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, mentoring personnel, and supporting mission-critical operations across multiple locations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced operational environments.
