Senior Director, Program Lead

What You’ll Do:
The Program Lead will drive the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of development programs. This role will be responsible for leading the cross functional global project teams to ensure alignment of program initiatives with organizational goal and timely delivery of results. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication skills, adept at balancing stakeholder expectations while guiding program outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership and execution
- Align and drive broader cross-functional perspective in developing program strategies including scientific rationale, operational feasibility, budget, timeline, in the context of the competitive and commercial landscape.
- Proactively identify risks and oversee assessment and mitigation activities.
- Oversee and hold sub-teams and global project team members accountable for executing the program strategy, development plan, and timelines.
- Exceptional communication skills in presenting plans, options, and outcomes to key stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making, and translating across functions to foster alignment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders/sr. management and alliance partners, effectively communicating program goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Team Leadership:
- Assemble and lead global project team
- Foster a culture of accountability, adaptability and continuous improvement
- Create a highly engaged, inclusive organization where diverse perspectives are recognized, and everyone feels a sense of belonging while fostering a patient-centric culture
- Coach team members to ensure success
Qualifications:
- At least 10-12 years of related/relevant experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry with broad drug development knowledge
- Minimum of 8 years of global experience with complex project including strategy and execution and matrix team management
- Expertise in obesity/metabolic area is a plus
- Strong understanding of drug development processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proven leadership in building and leading cross functional teams to advance programs through development milestones, i.e. phase 3 study design and execution, global submission/approval
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members creating an environment that fosters successful teamwork, collaboration and cooperation.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, while maintaining positive attitude
At Kailera, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture. How we treat our people is reflective of this commitment. We share the pay range for this particular role with the actual base salary depending upon factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, market factors, and experience.
Salary Range
$210,000 - $270,000 USD
