2025 Summer Internship - Information Technology, Supply Chain Manufacturing and Corporate Functions

Information Security Intern: SCM and Corporate Functions

We are looking for talented, highly motivated university students for our Information Communication and Technology team to help manage IT capabilities within SCM and Corp Functions at Kyowa Kirin North America (KKNA). Our future talent will be coming in as Information Systems Analyst, Project Managers and Technology Platform Managers in training. You will wear many hats as you jump in a fast-paced environment and produce results. SCM, Mfg. and Corp. Function: IT Business Partners, Operational Support Excellence and Governance, IT System Analysis, ERP Platform Analysis and Support, Technical Architecture, IT process and System enhancements, Data Analytics and Reporting.

This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to juniors or seniors within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ. This role is a hybrid role with some in-office time preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance and Corp. Functions customers to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, consistently ensuring the backend of our ERP and other core systems are set up for success.
  • Identify process and system improvements within operational use of ERP and other core IT systems.
  • Provide business analyst support for IT projects, Microsoft D365 product upgrades & ERP enhancement activities (e.g., coordination, testing, summaries).
  • Assist IT in build and enhance PowerBI based reporting and analytics capabilities for SCM, Finance, Manufacturing and Corp. Functions.
  • Facilitate design and review of IT architecture diagrams with business and ICT stakeholders confirming system boundaries, HW/SW components, networks, data flows, interfaces, dependencies and relationships, security framework/measures, scalability and performance of IT system/landscape.
  • Work closely with project team during solution design and testing. Translate business requirements into system requirements. Involved in analyzing system/software capabilities and how it relates to creating a technical solution. Test and verify that solution meets the customer and business process requirements.
  • Identify future opportunities for system enhancement and value generation.
  • Assist in IT assessments to determine security and infrastructure impact for relevant system implementation or change.
  • Assist IT team in building project dashboards to capture and present project status across the teams to report-out progress.
  • Build and structure internal communication sites to better educate our partners across our company of who we are and what we do.
  • Identify additional areas of opportunity and means for knowledge sharing practices across teams.
  • Effectively communicate through Microsoft 365 suite such as Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Familiar with ERP framework
  • Knowledgeable in IT system architecture, SDLC governance, and support framework

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • This position requires candidates to be a rising junior or rising senior in college/university with a major that aligns with the department: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Network Engineering, Information Security, or life sciences field
  • Previous internship and/or project experience, volunteerism, leadership in clubs or societies, and participation in student athletics
  • Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th to August 15th, 2024.
  • The ability to work a hybrid schedule is required
  • 1+ years leading or working in a team environment
  • Must have good intercommunication and interpersonal skills, as well as a positive and fun attitude
  • Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Princeton, NJ and be able to work on a hybrid basis (2-3 in office days per week)
  • This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship
