Manager, Accommodations Stakeholder Relations

Manager, Accommodations Stakeholder Relations:

The Manager, Accommodations Stakeholder Relations will support the Senior Manager in managing key relationships with International Federations and other Olympic & Paralympic stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of LA28’s accommodations plan. This role is central to the planning and execution of accommodations for IFs, including engagement with hotels, coordination of site visits, and facilitation of the Accommodation Management System (AMS). 

The role is goal-oriented and focused on delivering seamless stakeholder engagement, accurate data and reporting, timely coordination of hotel allocations, and operational support for LA28’s accommodations priorities. This position requires strong communication skills, ability to manage expectations, comfort in fast-paced event environments, and proficiency with data management tools such as Excel and Smartsheet.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with Olympic and Paralympics Key stakeholders and hotel partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned stakeholders, managing engagement, incoming questions, and problem resolution.
  • Organize and facilitate hotel site visits, ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of accommodation offerings.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment with hotel partners to meet LA28 accommodations objectives. 

Strategic Operational Support 

  • Support the creation and execution of Accommodations Games Guides and communication plans for stakeholders. 
  • Understand and address the key accommodation and operational needs of IF stakeholders. 
  • Liaise with internal teams to gather feedback and ensure alignment of allocation plans. 
  • Facilitate stakeholder interactions with the Accommodation Management System (AMS). 
  • Collect, track, and facilitate Accommodation Allocation Agreements and Invoices. 
  • Identify and escalate issues to the broader accommodations team when needed. 
  • Input and manage rate gathering from hotels, maintaining accurate and up-to-date data. 

General 

  • Manage the IF stakeholder group’s project plan, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to meet timelines. 
  • Prepare presentations and reports for staff and stakeholders. 
  • Track critical action items and follow-ups from key meetings. 
  • Support hotel releases and invoice management, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to agreements. 
  • Maintain and manage accommodations data in Excel, Smartsheet, and other tools to enable informed decision-making and efficient workflow. 

Background & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in stakeholder or client relationship management, ideally in a sports or large-scale event environment. 
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, and other data management tools. 
  • Familiarity with hotel operations, contracts, and/or accommodations planning is preferred. 
  • Experience managing projects, timelines, and complex datasets. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially around sports events or large-scale operational projects.

  • Passion for sports and understanding of event timelines, operational needs, and stakeholder dynamics.

Position Requirements:

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions 

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends for events or site visits. 
  • Comfortable traveling to Property sites or event venues as required. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, Sports Management, or related field preferred. 
  • Certifications in project management or data analytics a plus. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $115,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
