The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.
LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Press Services Manager:
The Press Operations (PRS) Team’s aim is to deliver high-quality spaces and services to the press (written and photographers) to cover the Olympic and Paralympic Games effectively. This includes the planning, management, and delivery of the Main Press Center (MPC), press operations within competition venues, and key Games-time services tailored to the needs of accredited press such as accommodation, accreditation, transportation, etc.
The PRS team works in close coordination with other LA28 functional areas to ensure that media has the infrastructure and support required to tell the stories of the Games to a global audience. From venue layouts and technical requirements to operational planning and Games-time execution, the PRS team plays a critical role in shaping the press experience at the Games.
Reporting to the Director of Press Services, this person will work collaboratively across functional areas, external partners, and press stakeholders to ensure readiness and excellence in all aspects of press services delivery in the lead up to the Games Period and throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison
- Serve as the primary liaison between Press Operations and key LA28 functional areas including Accreditation, Accommodations, Transportation, Security, Rate Card, and Technology
- Coordinate directly with the IOC and IPC Media Operations teams throughout the press accreditation and services planning processes
- Build and manage relationships with major press organizations, external media stakeholders, and agencies
Press Services Planning & Integration
- Oversee the press accommodation allocation process in collaboration with the Accommodations Functional Area
- Support the identification and provisioning of press network and connectivity requirements in partnership with the Technology team and Telecom delivery partners
- Contribute to the development and integration of the media transport plan in coordination with the Transportation Functional Area
Information, Communication & Publications
- Manage the Press Operations extranet and central inbox to ensure timely communication and access to planning resources
- Lead the development of key press-facing publications including the Facilities & Services Handbook, and the Media & Photo Handbook
- Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of World Press Briefings and other media-focused engagement sessions leading up to the Games
Games-time Operations Support
- Support readiness planning for the MPC Ensure that all operational plans and services for accredited written press and photographers are in place and aligned with Games-time needs
- Contribute to issue resolution processes and stakeholder management throughout the Games period to ensure a seamless press experience ]
Background & Qualifications:
Required experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with 7+ years of experience supporting large-scale event planning, venue operations, or facilities coordination
- Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships
- Experience working across multiple functional areas
Required Expertise
- Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making.
- Experience implementing communication strategies that are accessible and inclusive to a unique audience, including considerations for various languages and accessibility for people with disabilities.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Ability to understand architectural drawings and venue layouts to help inform planning conversations
- Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues
- Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with experience in defining tasks, seeking feedback, and evolving work where applicable
- A collaborative mindset: someone who prioritizes the team and fosters a culture of high performance without ego and works to promote LA28 values in all operations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Based in Los Angeles
- Some travel may be required, both domestically and internationally
- Working hours may vary to accommodate different time zones in specific regions.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
