Financial Planning & Analysis Summer Internship

West Chester, PA

Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking two FP&A Interns for our West Chester, PA headquarters. The summer internship will run from mid- May to mid- August.

The FP&A interns will work closely with our FP&A team to support strategic decision-making processes, develop financial models, analyze financial data, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow while making a meaningful impact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes including analysis, interpretation, and communication of results
  • Helps develop effective reports, presentations, and analyses for use by management and external stakeholders
  • Helps develop, analyze, and reconcile statistical and accounting information for monthly and quarterly financial statement reviews
  • Assesses operating results in terms of profitability and performance against plan/prior year to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities
  • Participates in annual strategic planning and budgeting, periodic forecasting, and management reporting processes
  • Helps create appropriate metrics/KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards that give insight into the performance of the business
  • Works cross-functionally to incorporate financial and strategic analysis into key business decisions
  • Analyzes financial data to explain variance drivers, including revenue and gross margin volume/rate/mix analysis

 EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • This role is intended for students entering their senior year of undergraduate study
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Prior internship experience in finance or related field is a plus.
