About this position:

We are looking for a talented and creative Community Manager / Social Media Manager to join our team. This role focuses on content creation and community engagement, ensuring that our clients' brands maintain a strong and dynamic presence on social media.

What you'll be doing:

Content Creation

    • Create visually appealing and compelling content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, for various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others. This requires excellent written skills, some design and video capabilities. 
    • Partner with the client's influencer marketing team to bring content to life via briefing creators and influencers.
    • Partner with the strategy team to analyze content performance and community engagement metrics to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Community Management

    • Manage and nurture online communities, responding to comments and messages, and fostering positive interactions with followers acting as the main brand voice
    • Monitor social media trends and incorporate them into content creation to keep clients' brands relevant and engaging.

Client Relationship

    • Lead and manage the success and outcomes of all customers that you oversee through establishing and nurturing strong relationships
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to brainstorm and produce innovative content ideas that resonate with target audiences.

  • 3-6 years proven experience as a Community Manager, Social Media Manager, or similar role with a strong focus on content creation and community engagement.
  • Proven track record of independently managing and growing a social media presence for a large B2C brand.
  • Excellent content creation skills including exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences. You can also independently create basic videos and graphics and have a natural and engaging presence when on camera. 
  • Preferred: Experience leveraging AI to streamline processes & development of materials in a streamlined & consistent way is preferred. 
  • Comfortable digging into performance data and analysis and using those insights to adjust strategy and report on overall impact. 
  • A natural desire to be active on social media is essential, we are looking for candidates who live and breathe social media trends.
  • Ability to think creatively and generate innovative content ideas.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

Our approach to compensation:

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. 

Additionally, all permanent team members are granted stock options and are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Salary Range:

$89,000-$98,000 USD + Bonus

We hire into our hub cities of Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; Toronto, ON. We also have team members based remotely for select positions. We post our positions in the hub location(s) where we are open to having the successful candidate be located.
