The Opportunity:

As a DVLED Installation Technician, you will be responsible for executing the hands-on scope of work for direct view LED (DVLED) projects. In this role, you will work under the direction of Senior Installation Technicians and collaborate closely with Project Managers and Field Engineers. Key responsibilities include precise cabinet mounting, wiring, and basic system configuration—all performed to meet LGEAI’s standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. A strong commitment to jobsite safety is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities: 

Installation, Setup, & Support

  • Follow the lead of Senior Installation Technicians to mount and align DVLED cabinets per drawings and manufacturer tolerances.
  • Pull, dress, and terminate signal and power cabling, then connect cabinets to controllers and power supplies.
  • Stage, label, and verify all materials against the scope of work before work begins.
  • Assist with module mapping, seam adjustments, brightness and color calibration during commissioning.
  • Assist with comprehensive project site maintenance and cleanup, including daily debris removal, proper disposal of packaging, secure cable management, staging and inventory of tools and consumables, and keeping the work area organized for daily tasks.
  • Conduct end-of-day safety walk throughs to maintain a safe, orderly workspace.

Technical Support

  • Partner with Senior Technicians and Field Engineers to diagnose and resolve issues during installation and burn in.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and module swaps as directed after project hand off.

Quality & Safety

  • Adhere to installation checklists, torque specs, and tolerance charts for flatness, gaps, and seam uniformity.
  • Comply with OSHA, site, and company safety protocols, including fall protection, lock out/tag out, and first aid readiness.
  • Document punch list items with photos and notes, then resolve or escalate promptly with the management team.

Learning & Development

  • Complete required LG manufacturer and in-house DVLED training, plus safety courses.
  • Seek mentoring and feedback from Senior Installation Technicians to progress toward CTS I certification.

Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate daily tasks with Senior Installation Technicians, Project Managers, subcontract labor, and client facilities staff.
  • Contribute to a clean, efficient, safety-first jobsite culture.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Properly record cabinet serial numbers, controller IP addresses, and configuration files for as built documentation.
  • Submit concise daily field reports that cover progress, material usage, and deviations from the scope of work.                                                          

 Qualifications / Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED; trade school, military electronics training, or AV program a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • 1–2 years installing DVLED or other large format display systems.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, laser levels, and torque wrenches; responsible for maintaining a personal tool kit and required PPE (hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ESD wrist strap).
  • Ability to read elevation drawings, shop drawings, and wiring schematics, with a basic understanding of NEC/low voltage code compliance and strict adherence to ESD precautions when handling LED modules and PCBs.
  • Advanced PC literacy (Windows utilities, file management, simple network settings) and basic networking skills (assign static IPs, configure small switches, verify controller connectivity).
  • Strong time management skills, adaptability to shifting site conditions, and professional communication with clients, general contractors, and other trades.

Preferred Requirements

  • Manufacturer DVLED training (LG, Barco, Samsung, Leyard, etc.).
  • AVIXA CTS or progress toward CTS I.
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certifications, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Aerial lift / MEWP operator certification.
  • Forklift operator certification.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; frequent standing, bending, and ladder use.
  • Work at heights up to 120 ft on aerial lifts or fixed structures with fall protection.
  • Comfortable working indoors or outdoors in varying temperatures, lighting conditions, and noise levels.
  • Work after hours or weekends when project schedules require.
  • Nationwide travel with periodic multiweek assignments, plus potential international travel; valid passport required.

$65,000 - $70,000 USD
