About the Job
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager will lead our accounting operations with a strong focus on financial close excellence and operational efficiency. We’re seeking a hands-on leader with deep accounting operations experience and a proven ability to streamline close cycles and implement meaningful process improvements.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment, brings best-in-class accounting practices, and enjoys both mentoring a team and tackling complex technical challenges.
The US-based salary range for this position is $131,500 to $194,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the monthly close process in coordination with Accounting Managers, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and SOX control documentation with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies and internal controls and SOX compliance in accordance with US GAAP and company standards.
- Oversee analysis and investigation into expense trends and variances, providing insight and recommendations to stakeholders
- Support annual audits and quarterly review processes with external auditors.
- Review monthly/quarterly financial statements and trend analysis to ensure that all results are prepared in accordance with US GAAP.
- Partner with various cross-functional departments to understand business initiatives and their accounting implications.
- Identify and implement process improvement activities to accelerate and enhance the company close cycle and transactional processes.
- Drive adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Provide leadership, coaching and performance management to drive accounting operations team development and engagement; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Intellectual curiosity in AI with potential experience in low code agentic models using LLMs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (or equivalent) a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years managing and developing accounting teams.
- Proven track record of leading the financial close process in both private and public company environments.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP with ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting guidance.
- Meticulously organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent and flexible problem solver who can cope positively with ambiguity while maintaining accuracy and speed.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders.
- SaaS and consumer electronics experience preferred.
- Experience with Netsuite required, FloQast preferred, strong proficiency with Excel and G-Suite.
- Comfortable adopting new technologies, including AI-assisted accounting and automation platforms.
