We’re looking for a Design Operations II to join our team in North America. Growth, at scale, is linked to building trust, partnership and allyship. This role focuses on the processes, methods, tooling and culture associated with high-performing design teams. You will work closely with the Design Operations Director to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. You will assist in executing strategies, implementing processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the success of design projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supports and coordinates existing systems and tools for the Design Team.
  • Identifies problems (sprints, VQA) within the design process and suggests improvements
  • Owns the timeliness and productivity of design team
  • Advocates for best practices with design and product managers, moving, adding, and writing Jira tickets 
  • Collaborates with design managers to manage the sprint ceremony calendar, guests, and agenda, including planning and refinement meetings and standups
  • Maintain and create a consistent and welcoming onboarding experience for new design team members by setting them up with their tools, access and understanding of team processes. 
  • Maintains playbooks and keeps documentation of how the design team works to help scale alignment and best practices. Must be able to post updates and measure engagement with our centralized Design Hub where information is available globally.
  • Keeps a pulse on overall studio culture, how designers are feeling, what they need and surfaces unspoken feedback to design leads.

What you need to bring:

  • At least 3 years of product industry experience in large matrix organizations in Program Management or Design. 
  • Foundations of interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile process across design, product and engineering
  • Applied experience with cross-platform design methods & programs (ie: opportunity discovery, journey mapping) with a goal to up-level design at scale. 
  • Analytical mindset interpreting data and informing decisions through insights
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions. Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • A culture-carrier with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build trust and influence relationships
  • Expertise in agile processes, JIRA and delivery software (Figma) and collaboration software (Jira, Monday, Miro, Figjam) and understanding of systems software (Storybook).
