As a Social Worker on the Homeless Intervention Team you will

  • Aim to prevent  children coming into care
  • Work with young people aged 16/17 who are homeless
  • The social workers need to have experience of undertaking this type of work as it requires a therapeutic approach, and they would preferably have training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). 
  • The Senior Practitioner role would also require this same level of training and knowledge as well as having experience of supervising alternatively qualified staff (Family Intervention Workers).
  • Due to the nature of the work, caseloads are low however it is intensive work so we need workers who can respond to families quickly

As a Social Worker you are required to:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
