ABOUT THIS ROLE
As the IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of all assets within the IT organization, including hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that assets are acquired, deployed, maintained, and disposed of in a manner that maximizes value and minimizes risk.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and contracts.
- Implement and manage asset tracking systems.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
- Coordinate asset deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Develop standardized processes for asset management and compliance.
- Monitor software license usage and optimize costs.
- Ensure timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Manage end-of-life processes and ensure proper asset disposal.
- Generate reports on asset inventory, usage, and performance trends.
- Configure and manage mobile device management (Jamf, Intune, etc.).
- Deploy security patches, monitor vulnerabilities, and ensure system security.
- Test patches in a controlled environment to minimize disruptions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in IT asset management or related roles.
- In-depth knowledge of IT asset management principles, processes, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills
- Powershell and Bash scripting language experience
- In-depth Windows, macOS & Linux operating system knowledge
- 2+ years of IT asset management or related role experience
- 2+ years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying Microsoft Intune and Jamf or similar mobile device management solutions
- Certifications such as and Microsoft Endpoint/Intune
- Workflow automation experience (Okta Workflows, Workato, etc.)
