ABOUT THIS ROLE

As the IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of all assets within the IT organization, including hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related resources. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that assets are acquired, deployed, maintained, and disposed of in a manner that maximizes value and minimizes risk.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and contracts.
  • Implement and manage asset tracking systems.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
  • Coordinate asset deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop standardized processes for asset management and compliance.
  • Monitor software license usage and optimize costs.
  • Ensure timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Manage end-of-life processes and ensure proper asset disposal.
  • Generate reports on asset inventory, usage, and performance trends.
  • Configure and manage mobile device management (Jamf, Intune, etc.).
  • Deploy security patches, monitor vulnerabilities, and ensure system security.
  • Test patches in a controlled environment to minimize disruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in IT asset management or related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT asset management principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Powershell and Bash scripting language experience
  • In-depth Windows, macOS & Linux operating system knowledge
  • 2+ years of IT asset management or related role experience
  • 2+ years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying Microsoft Intune and Jamf or similar mobile device management solutions
  • Certifications such as and Microsoft Endpoint/Intune
  • Workflow automation experience (Okta Workflows, Workato, etc.)
