ABOUT THIS ROLE

The company is seeking an accomplished and strategic Head of Project Management Office (PMO) to oversee the governance, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide projects and programs. This role is instrumental in ensuring projects are aligned with organizational goals, delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Head of PMO will establish and manage the overall project governance framework, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in project and portfolio management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Management:

  • Define, plan, and manage IT project scope, schedules, resources, and delivery according to stakeholder goals, utilizing appropriate methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) and tools. 

Execution & Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, facilitate meetings, drive discussions, make decisions, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth project execution and progress towards objectives.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, track key metrics, and effectively communicate status, risks, and results to all stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify potential risks and scope gaps, establish escalation protocols, and collaborate on mitigation strategies.

Process Acumen:

  • Understand and apply change and release management best practices.
  • Familiarity with process mapping

Soft Skills & Collaboration

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and active listening skills to ensure mutual understanding, alignment, and transparency across teams, stakeholders (all levels), and vendors.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively, extract key information, track actions, and clearly articulate outcomes/next steps.

Technical Acumen & Business Understanding

  • Foundational knowledge of software development and product lifecycles.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams (IT, business, consultants) and partnering with diverse business units (Manufacturing, Procurement, etc.).
  • Skilled in analyzing complex business processes (including value stream mapping), identifying improvements, gathering requirements, and translating needs into technical specifications.
  • Ability to identify and bridge business/IT gaps by assessing technical feasibility and managing system integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years IT/Technical Project Management experience, including identifying business needs and implementing solutions.
  • Experience managing a full end-to-end ERP implementation (not a nonstarter) ideally a core system implementation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with business analysis tools/methodologies (ITSM).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence etc.)
  • Experience with Enterprise ERP systems: SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion Cloud, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred
