Job Summary
Loenbro is looking for a dependable and mechanically minded Lube Technician / Mechanic I to support our Fleet & Equipment team. This position will perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on light-duty pickup trucks, trailers, and construction equipment, helping keep our fleet safe, dependable, and ready for the field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their mechanical skills and gain experience working on a diverse fleet of vehicles and construction equipment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) on light-duty pickup trucks and fleet vehicles.
- Perform oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, tire inspections, battery checks, and other basic services.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and routine servicing of construction equipment such as skid steers, lifts, excavators, loaders, and trailers.
- Perform basic inspections and identify mechanical issues requiring additional repair.
- Assist experienced mechanics with repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Keep work areas, tools, vehicles, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer maintenance requirements.
- Occasionally assist with moving, delivering, or picking up vehicles and equipment.
- Other fleet maintenance duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a lube technician, mechanic helper, fleet technician, or similar position is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and use common hand tools.
- Ability to identify basic mechanical issues and communicate problems to senior mechanics.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills.

Work Environment:
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
