We are currently seeking an Ergonomics Specialist. This role will be critical in supporting day-to-day operations by guiding a number of EH&S programs, developing standards, guidelines, and training, and continuously improving the ways we monitor and measure the efficacy of our efforts. Your experience in safety and ergonomics will contribute to the design and assessment of workstations, processes, and tools that enhance the well-being and performance of our production personnel. This position requires close collaboration with logistics and manufacturing partners and health and safety professionals to create a seamless integration of safety and ergonomics principles throughout the manufacturing process.

 

You Will:

  • Support day-to-day EHS operations.
  • Drive ergonomics programs and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on ergonomic best practices, standards, and regulations. Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production managers, occupational health and safety professionals, and human resources, to ensure safety and ergonomics considerations are integrated into all stages of product development and manufacturing.
  • Conduct ergonomics assessments of assembly lines, tooling, equipment, and workstations to ensure compliance with internal ergonomic standards, and industry guidelines.
  • Collect and analyze ergonomic data, including workplace assessments, injury reports, and employee feedback, to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs for production personnel to promote safe work practices and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Manage high visibility projects as a key liaison between Lucid Motors and third-party organizations’ driving results to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication between all organizations within manufacturing operations.
  • Obtain multiple paths to resolution and present to leadership for buy-in.
  • Provide support for EHS programs associated with Ergonomics and Human Factors.
  • Represent EHS in varying multi-functional routine and non-routine engagements.

 

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree associated to Ergonomics or Human Factors.
  • Certifications – CPE, ASP/CSP certification highly preferred.
  • 2+ years work experience in ergonomics and environmental, health & safety-related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies and requirements.
  • Proven experience working as an Ergonomist in the automotive industry or a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant ergonomic software and tools for analysis and simulation.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with Ergonomics, providing education/training, Risk assessment, Incident Investigation, etc.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with manufacturing team members and other key stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in related industries (automotive, machine integration, semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing priorities in a rapid growth environment.
  • Well organized and highly detail oriented.
  • Willing to lead manufacturing teams down the path of EHS maturity driving continuous engagement.
  • Manufacturing is a 24/7 operation; must be available to support occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Able to influence and communicate effectively with leaders, technicians, engineers, contractors and supporting staff.
