As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Lucid Motors, you will be responsible for defining and executing the design strategy across a variety of digital platforms, including lucidmotors.com. You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centered, visually stunning designs that align with the brand’s high standards of performance and scalability, while communicating the Compromise Nothing Brand positioning. You will maintain and expand the Web Design System and ensure the user experience across all digital touchpoints is seamless, intuitive, and friction-free.

You will take the lead in presenting your designs and strategic initiatives to key stakeholders, including Leadership, driving design decisions at the highest levels of the organization. You will collaborate closely with product teams, developers, and other departments, ensuring that design decisions align with both user needs and business goals.


Responsibilities:
• Define Digital Design Strategy: Lead design strategy for both new and ongoing projects, aligning digital experiences with the overall business vision and user needs.
• Ensure Seamless User Experience: Work relentlessly to optimize the user journey and ensure frictionless, engaging, high performing experiences across digital touchpoints and platforms.
• Lead New Design Initiatives: Take a proactive approach to exploring new design concepts, innovations, and initiatives. Benchmark against relevant content across the automotive and other industries. 
• Expand and Maintain Web Design System: Continuously evolve and uphold Lucid’s design system, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Execute Designs: Create high-quality, user-centered design solutions, from wireframes and prototypes to final UI implementations across digital platforms. Ensure the resulting designs are clear, unambiguous, follow brand standards, best practices, and improve user flow. Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure Jira Epics, stories and tickets are accurate and actionable, review final product in partnership with QA to make sure design intent and details are delivered. 
• Present to Leadership: Drive projects to completion by presenting designs and strategic initiatives to Leadership.
• Collaborate with different teams across the organization: Work closely with product teams, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders (legal, sales, marketing, etc.) to ensure designs are feasible, aligned with goals, and implemented effectively. Provide regular updates on design work product progress and results to all stakeholders. 
• Champion Design Excellence: Advocate for best-in-class design principles and practices, staying up-to date on the latest UX/UI trends and innovations.
• Metrics-Driven Design: Utilize metrics and feedback to iterate on designs, solving pain points and improving the user experience over time.


Qualifications: 
• 5+ years of professional experience in Product design, with a strong portfolio of work showcasing your expertise across both UX and UI disciplines, especially for web platforms.
• Expertise in creating seamless, intuitive user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Strong visual design skills with a deep understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Expertise in creating and expanding Visual Design Systems and applying atomic design principles.
• Excellent leadership, presentation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for creating high-quality, user-centered designs.
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic, innovative environment.
• Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and other design/prototyping tools.


BONUS Qualifications:
In addition to these specific tools, UX designers also need to be familiar with a variety of other tools and 
technologies, such as: 
• Experience in the automotive or high-tech industries.
• Usability testing: Usability testing is a method of gathering feedback from users about their experiences with products and services.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and responsive web design principles.
• E-commerce background a plus.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$146,100 - $214,280 USD
