We are currently seeking a Shipment Expeditor. This position is responsible for transporting goods from one place to another as quickly and efficiently as possible. You are responsible for determining the fastest and most cost-effective methods for transporting goods based on the need in plant date. Primary duties include coordinating with planners, 3PLs, suppliers and warehouse staff while tracking/providing clear and concise communication all the way through the life of a shipment to internal customers.

- Look for ways to decrease transit time on urgent freight requests.
- Coordinate with production planners on expedited freight request specifications and timing.
- Review and track all orders you are assigned.
- Ensure proper approvals and financial governance policies are followed during expedited shipments.
- Keep track of all milestones of freight as it goes through the expedited process.
- Work with the warehouse staff to ensure all shipments are delivered.
- Solve any issues related to shipping delays.
- Report out daily updates to leadership on all expedited shipment statuses.
- Monitor budgets for the expedited shipping of goods.
- Provide incredible responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Work within ERP and TMS systems.
- Collaborate with Trade Compliance, Material Planning, transportation providers and warehousing on seamless hand offs of critical shipments.

Provide updates during part status meetings.

Be open to working extended shifts when dealing with expedited shipments.
You Bring:

Prior international import/export experience, preferably with a 3PL.

A knack to be organized and plan how to divide your time between multiple shipment activities enabling you to work smarter – not harder – so that you get more done in less time, even when time is tight, and pressures are high.

An enthusiastic attitude overseeing Lucid expedited orders and deliveries with 3PLs for deliveries from all over the world.

Great communication skills with internal customers, external suppliers as well as 3PL management. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Conflict resolution skills. You will need to be determined to revolve any conflicts presented for any shipment, ensuring on time delivery time against the required delivery date.

Expertise and attention to detail skills, seeing things normally missed by non-experts in logistics/transportation.

Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office, along with 2 or more years using Transportation Management System (TMS) with applicable understanding of the relations of various transactions.
Education Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED. College degree preferred

Expeditor - 3 years of experience required

Shipment Track and Trace experience preferred.

Experience coordinating projects and the efforts of multiple departments

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Tableau, Smartsheets; SAP is a plus
Schedule for this role is 7am-5pm. Please keep in mind that there will be times where you will need to work off-hours to get the job done.
