
Sr. Manager, Global DevOps, E/E and Software Configuration
Role Overview
The Sr. Manager, Global DevOps will lead strategic initiatives across DevOps functions supporting vehicle software, mobile applications, point-of-sale systems, and software build infrastructure. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, operational excellence, and scalability across software deployment and configuration domains. The position requires a visionary leader who can align cross-functional teams, set high standards, attract top talent, and ensure seamless collaboration to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
· Define and evolve the DevOps strategy for vehicle software, mobile apps, retail systems, and build infrastructure.
· Champion innovation in CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and tooling to support scalable software delivery.
· Lead efforts to optimize over-the-air (OTA) software update operations, reducing latency and improving reliability.
Operational Excellence
· Oversee tooling development for software release and deployment, ensuring robust, automated, and secure workflows.
· Drive improvements in vehicle configuration data management, ensuring accuracy and traceability across platforms.
· Monitor and enhance build infrastructure performance, including cloud-based Jenkins/GitLab runners and containerized environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Align DevOps efforts with engineering, QA, product, and business teams to ensure cohesive execution.
· Facilitate communication across geographically distributed teams, including offshore and contractor resources.
· Support integration with ADAS, Infotainment, and Retail DevOps teams to ensure unified release and validation processes.
Talent Development & Team Building
· Mentor and coach team leads and managers across DevOps domains.
· Foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
· Partner with HR and leadership to recruit, retain, and grow top-tier engineering talent.
Expectations for the Role
· Set and uphold high standards for software quality, release velocity, and operational resilience.
· Ensure disaster recovery readiness and security compliance across DevOps tooling (e.g., SCA, SAST, FOSS scans).
· Lead quarterly planning and reporting cycles, including campaign tracking and release metrics.
· Represent DevOps in executive forums, providing insights and recommendations on scaling and innovation.
Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or infrastructure leadership roles.
· Proven track record in managing CI/CD systems, OTA deployments, and software configuration at scale.
· Strong technical foundation in build systems, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$208,100 - $305,250 USD
