
Repair Technician- Powertrain
We are looking for a Powertrain Repair Technician to lead in the building and documenting of Electric Vehicle Powertrains throughout the progressive development build cycles.

The Role:
- Demonstrate expertise in building complex electro-mechanical assemblies
- Perform electrical diagnosis and repairs battery module and battery pack assemblies to achieve a high level of quality that meets Lucid standards
- Provide engineering teams with comprehensive failure analysis
- Perform electrical tests on battery module and pack
- Participate in ongoing skill development to further your technical expertise
- Contribute towards the development of repair procedures
- Train others on repair procedures
- Use a variety of hand and power tools with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Learn and gain proficiency on new technologies
- Document repair activities
- Assist in identifying and correcting the cause of problems by partnering with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
You Bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair
- Experience with electric vehicle systems
- Track record of getting amazing products to market on time with fantastic innovation.
- Root cause investigations and diagnoses at a system, modular, and component level
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E practices
- Detail oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills, including Microsoft office and computer software literacy
- Knowledge of power tools, pneumatic equipment
- Knowledge of Wirebonding equipment, Hesse preferred
- Knowledge of electrical hazards, including precautionary measures around high-voltage equipment and spinning machinery
- Ability to use basic electrical tools: Digital Multimeter, Meg-Ohm tester, Thermal couple Meters, Hi-POT Tester, O-Scope
- Ability to measure with high precision tools, including bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- A “can-do” attitude and ability to motivate small build teams
- Ability to take things apart and getting them back together without instructions
- Great communication skills for relaying data (both verbal and written)
- Impeccable organization and clean work environment habits
- Ability to read and write in English
- A valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must have the ability to work at the pace required while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship
- Must be able to stand for long periods during the repair of a vehicle
- Must be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl frequently
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- High School Diploma
- ASE certification is a bonus
- Other technical or vocational schools or certification with an automotive focus is a bonus
This role is for the night shift, and ideal candidates should be available to work any shift as per business needs
