
Maintenance Technician - Body Manufacturing
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting abilities to join our team. This role involves maintaining and optimizing various manufacturing systems across multiple body-in-white production environments, and assembly areas. Flexibility, safety awareness, and effective communication are critical to success.
You Will:
· Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in robotic systems, conveyors, vacuum, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery
· Perform precision alignment on shafts, conveyors, and other critical equipment
· In-depth expertise in industrial sensors, including proximity, photoelectric (photo eye), and limit switches, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot sensor-related issues across complex manufacturing systems.
· Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of systems including Allen Bradley PLCs, Drives, and Fanuc Robots
· Lead troubleshooting efforts on equipment involving robots, VFDs, PLCs, and integrated manufacturing systems
· Maintain spare parts inventory and manage lead times for assigned equipment
· Plan, execute, and document all Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks within the BIW production area and document into CMMS system
· Collaborate with Maintenance Planner to learn and utilize the CMMS system effectively
· Commission new systems and integrate them into existing control infrastructure
· Enforce and follow all safety policies and procedures
· Provide professional, informative, and responsive communication with internal customers
· Assist with additional maintenance duties as assigned to support operational efficiency
You Bring:
· Experience with:
o Tox Stud/Clinch nut drive units
o Atlas Copco SPR units
o Deprag FDS guns and feeders
o Nordson adhesive systems
· Machining and fabrication capabilities
· Education in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics
· Proficient in reading and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic schematics
· Knowledge of lifting and rigging techniques to support equipment maintenance
Additional Requirements
· Willingness to work 2nd Shift and flexible hours based on operational needs
· Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record (DMV check required)
