
Incoming Quality Engineer, 2nd Shift
Lucid Motors is looking for a highly motivated Incoming Quality Engineer to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects. The Incoming Quality Engineer work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle working proactively to protect the lucid production lines from quality issues. You will work closely with supplier quality, engineering and production teams in solving complex multi-vary issues.
-2ND Shift-
You Will:
· Strong part acceptance criteria knowledge
· Create and implement departmental processes such as control and reaction plans to protect factory’s quality & delivery and forge excellent cross-functional relationships with supplier chain team
· React immediately to any supplier-related abnormality with a sense or urgency bringing an interim solution to the affected process while the supportive team analyze the root cause in parallel
· Close interaction with supply chain team & suppliers to align requirements and expectations. Goal is to develop supplier on achieving a solid quality output with a proactive mindset
· Work with suppliers to create new manufacturing techniques when necessary to meet design and process requirements
· Perform supplier audits and assessments. Develop process improvement plans and drive immediate implementation; monitor and maintain performance metrics
· Participate on investigation for supplier quality issues to determine root cause, identify and implement corrective actions, drive sustained long-term permanent and preventive actions
· Develop quality plans, design test methods and gages, identify potential failure modes and process weaknesses and drive corrective actions
· Travel up to 25%, occasionally on short notice
You Bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical preferred)
· 2+ years in a high-volume manufacturing background required with experience in process improvement required
· Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings and an in-depth knowledge of quality standards and specifications
· Excellent analytical abilities, technical writing ability and comprehensive understanding of quality toolbox
· Ability to develop an improvement plan for suppliers to achieve desired results and avoid affecting factory’s performance
· Certification preferred – American Society for Quality, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.
· Team player with strong interpersonal skills, hands-on and data driven, be able to adopt to the dynamic working environment, creative mindset in problem solving
