Assistant Restaurant Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurants. Their duties include training restaurant staff in following company policies, speaking with residents and guests to address concerns or solve problems. A successful candidate will have a welcoming personality, the ability to problem solve and multitask. The Assistant Restaurant Manager, Sonora is familiar with IDDSI practices and has the ability to recognize dietary requirements. This position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager, Sonora.
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with Restaurant Manager in the timely selection, orientation, scheduling and on-going training
and performance management of restaurant team members.
- Manages reservation system, assigns server sections at all meal periods that require
- Ensures the even flow of guests into the restaurant, to provide a positive resident and guest experience and a quality food product.
- Supervises the flow of service to ensure that residents, guests, family members, and staff receive quality dining service.
- Inspects workstations for completion of assigned side
- Responds to resident feedback addressing concerns in a timely, professional
- Maintains timely and professional communication with the Restaurant Manager, Director of Food & Beverage and the Executive Chef and shares all food comments and suggestions with the Executive Chef.
- Works with restaurant management to help ensure budgetary
- Responsible, along with the other members of the restaurant supervisory team, to manage and maintain the equipment necessary to successfully operate the restaurants at or above Mather service standards.
- Coordinates and executes theme meals and/or functions and related billing processes and provides accurate and timely information to the Restaurant Manager so that billing for events/functions can occur and resident satisfaction is ensured.
- Oversees dietary restrictions, follows IDDSI
- Performs training to team members on IDDSI and dietary
- Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:
- High school diploma or
- Progressive experience in an upscale restaurant and/or Life Plan
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and make independent
- Proficient in Windows applications including Excel, Word and
- Knowledgeable in Point-of-Sale
- Knowledgeable in job related federal, state, and local regulations to ensure safe and clean dining
- Certification in food safety/sanitation and
- English language Preferred:
- College degree in culinary or hospitality
- Knowledgeable in Online ordering, Online
