The Role

As Lead RF Electronics Manufacturing Engineer, you will spearhead the development and production of next generation radio frequency (RF) and custom wiring solutions essential for quantum computing applications. This pivotal role bridges the gap between innovative design and scalable production, ensuring our groundbreaking concepts translate into high-quality, manufacturable hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and manufacturing of high-density wiring solutions for dilution refrigerators, maintaining exceptional quality standards while scaling production
  • Provide hands-on leadership to engineering and technical teams overseeing the design and manufacturing of complex RF and cryogenic wiring components
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives to successfully transition from conceptual design to initial builds, defining clear pathways to scalable manufacturing
  • Identify and resolve production challenges, optimize workflows, and incorporate learnings into design decisions to enhance manufacturability
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes for soldering, welding, wiring, and assembly to improve both production quality and throughput
  • Implement rigorous testing procedures, establish automated testing stations, and oversee RF product qualification to ensure compliance with standards and performance requirements
  • Coordinate electrical, material, mechanical, and producibility engineering disciplines to transform innovative concepts into reliable, high-quality products for our customers

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related engineering field – PhD preferred
  • 10+ years of practical experience working with RF or quantum devices (cryogenic expertise highly valued but not required)
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership and production management
  • Demonstrated expertise in assembly and fabrication of RF components
  • Excellent collaboration skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities

Base salary range: $120,000 - $180,000
