The ever-growing Consumer team has an immediate opening for an Account Director to help oversee a top tier CPG brand.

This is an excellent opportunity for communications professional who wants to be part of a fun loving team that encourages critical thinking as much as creativity (aka the best of both worlds!). We’re looking for someone who has 6-8 years of  PR, experiential, and influencer and integrated agency (IAT) experience, and that will bring energy, excitement and passion to the position.

What You’ll Do:

As Account Director, you’re a team leader running an anchor consumer business with a lot of opportunity for growth and visibility. You’ll manage complex integrated projects (aka working with other paid media, shopper, social agency leads to create 360 programming); lead and inspire junior staffers; serve as a client counselor; and, most importantly, work with a very talented, very collaborative, and inspiring team that will have your back no matter what.

Client Leadership

  • Actively provide strategic counsel
  • Build strong relationship that establishes trust with client
  • Serve as day-to-day client lead
  • Lead weekly calls with clients

Project Management

  • Design work plans for programs
  • Work with an account team to delegate tasks and horizontals (e.g., creative, measurement/analytics, etc.)
  • Own more complex elements of project management, such as integration/collaboration with agency partners
  • Problem-solve quickly and smartly when issues arise
  • Create and track budgets
  • Set goals per program and KPIs for the year

Team Management

  • Directly manage 2-3 employees that could range from SAE-AC
  • Be motivational and inspiring, implementing ideas that help build culture
  • Coach in real-time and provide actionable feedback and guidance to add value to teammate and the work
  • Collaborate with supervisors to determine staff and resource allocation against accounts based on strengths, passions and opportunity areas

Planning

  • Provide program development oversight, ranging from press materials to large-scale strategies
  • Contribute ideas that deliver on briefs and jobs-to-be-done
  • Organize teammates and horizontals on planning path forward
  • Participate is annual business plans in an integrated (IAT) setting where you'll be showing value of PR and influencer and how it works in the marketing mix; you'll be collaborating every day with agency partners from the paid, owned social, creative and shopper teams

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 6-8 years of experience on an account on the agency side
  • Strong understanding and experience with both PR and influencer programming
  • Experience working on an integrated agency team (IAT)
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of 3-4 direct reports and career pathing for 1-2
  • Strong industry relationships (media, influencers etc.), and an ability to build strong client relationships
  • Proven ability to effectively organize multiple deadlines across accounts and teams
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a team-oriented environment
  • Creative, strategic thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Advanced writing, editing, and research ability
