M Booth has an immediate opportunity for a Copywriter to join our growing creative team. A few things to know before applying:

Position Overview:

As Copywriter, you will be responsible for ideating, developing, and executing creative concepts and copy for a variety of 360, cross-channel campaigns and initiatives. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Copywriter must possess an acute understanding and deep knowledge of cultural and social media trends. Common projects include: branding, ads, social media content, and PR activations. 

In this role, you will work with our highly collaborative team of Creative Strategists, Designers, Art Directors, Account Managers, Project Managers, and Creative Directors to own creative ideation from concept through to execution to meet client demands. 

Our work lies at the intersection of PR and Creative. We make branded content with an eye to earned media. We make PR activations that deliver on creative campaigns. We write for all kinds of media — everything from social posts to Super Bowl scripts. We bring what’s happening in culture to every client brief. We take our jobs very seriously, but we do not take ourselves very seriously. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own creative concepting and development of 360 campaigns & initiatives
  • Craft creative headlines, taglines, treatments, scripts, post copy, website copy, long body copy, storyboard copy, and other placement copy needs
  • Develop, evolve, and/or maintain brand voices across multiple clients & channels
  • Contribute to the development of creative strategy and insights via research 
  • Ability to synthesize creative insights and concepts based on research
  • Run and/or participate in brainstorms to develop creative concepts & campaigns 
  • Collaborate and partner with Art Director & other team members to ensure work is always on brief and on brand
  • Present creative work clearly on page/screen, as well as face-to-face with internal teams and external clients
  • Contribute to new business development and pitches
  • Possess a genuine interest in and knowledge of emerging technologies, disruptive trends, and cultural tentpoles, and how to experiment with them
  • Manage your day to meet strict deadlines, and prioritize requests

What You’ll Bring:

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in a creative role with a proven track record
  • Strong portfolio of advertising, PR, video and social content work
  • Proven writing skills (Campaign, PR, Video, Content)
  • Strong collaborator with internal teams and partners
  • Experience in presenting and collaborating directly with client teams 
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and presentation skills 
  • Handles feedback and revisions well 
  • Fluent in digital media, PR, and advertising  
  • Intimate understanding of social platforms and how to drive engagement 
  • NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Our Flexible Work Policy: 

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event. 

For those outside the NYC hub, you will be asked to be in person too. Examples of this may include client meetings, events or team meetings. There will also be in person opportunities for you to connect with others who live in your hub to collaborate and work together.
