Data Center Technicians at McMaster-Carr help monitor and manage the physical data center environment. This is a 3^rd shift hybrid position, located in Elmhurst, Illinois.

What You’ll Be Doing

Maintaining compute infrastructure, including racking of hardware, cabling, and asset lifecycle management
Monitoring the health of broad ranging software systems, from server to mainframe
Reacting to problems, including troubleshooting, resolving, and/or escalating to support teams
Supporting security related needs such as firewall administration and patching
Deploying software changes across environments
Managing disaster recovery responsibilities include tape storage
Providing IT help desk services to end users
Developing processes to automate routine task through different tools
Learning new technologies, systems, and processes

Total cash compensation ranges from $131,000 – $151,000, which includes annual cash profit sharing based on company profitability.
