About the Role
We're looking for an early-career FinOps Project Manager to support the financial and operational backbone of our delivery work. This role is ideal for someone with approximately one year of experience who wants to grow at the intersection of project coordination, financial processes, and operations.
As a FinOps Project Manager, you'll work closely with a Program Manager to ensure the smooth handling of time tracking, billing, invoicing, purchase orders, revenue recognition, and reporting. You'll use tools like Salesforce (for timesheets), Beeline, Excel, and Google Workspace to keep our financial data accurate and our delivery team well-informed.
While you won't be leading product or engineering teams, your contribution will be just as essential, keeping financial records accurate, documentation organized, and project operations running smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a FinOps Project Manager, you'll ensure our projects' financial and operational side runs smoothly, supporting strong delivery through accurate reporting, planning, and coordination. You'll work with cross-functional teams and serve as the connective tissue between our client's business goals and our internal delivery teams. You'll help translate strategy into action, bringing clarity, momentum, and alignment every step of the way.
- Support the Program Manager with finance and operations tasks across multiple projects
- Track and maintain team timesheets via Salesforce, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Assist with billing and invoicing by verifying data and helping ensure on-time client delivery
- Maintain resource allocation records to track staffing, duration, and project alignment
- Monitor and track Purchase Orders (PO) for accuracy and contract compliance
- Support revenue recognition efforts by coordinating dates, dependencies, and documentation
- Prepare weekly financial and status reports in collaboration with the Program Manager
- Contribute to operational reporting and maintain documentation for the Program Management team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, finance, management, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience in financial operations, billing, project coordination, or a related role
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, written and verbal
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working with Excel and Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
- Familiarity with systems like Salesforce, Beeline, or other time/billing tools is a plus
- Basic understanding of project planning, reporting, and team coordination
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and manage competing priorities
