Position Summary:
The AVP, HR Compensation & Analytics Officer is responsible for supporting compensation, payroll and data and analytics and reporting within the HR function. Oversee and audit the daily/weekly/bi-weekly Payroll operations; research, evaluate and ensure that payroll issues and discrepancies are resolved in a proper and timely manner; and maintain and update in HR/Payroll System. Research, analyze, and retrieve data to prepare and maintain complex payroll records, summaries and reports; reconcile differences within established payroll, benefit, retirement, and accounting systems using critical analysis skills; interpret, explain, and comply with negotiated contracts, prescribed laws, & rules. This role will report into the FVP, Director of Total Rewards.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Compensation:
- Support the Director of Total Rewards in the administration and maintenance of compensation programs, including assisting in the development, preparation and distribution of information regarding the compensation plans.
- Conduct market research and salary benchmarking to ensure competitive positioning.
- Assist in job evaluations, salary reviews, and annual compensation planning processes.
Payroll:
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing in conjunction with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) Comprehensive Services Payroll.
- Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data to include garnishments, vacation time, sick time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll and benefits processes.
Reporting/Analytics:
- Develop, maintain and analyze HR reports, dashboards and metrics to support data-driven decision making.
- Prepare reporting and provide data analysis for system upgrades and conversions.
- Provide additional support to benefit operations as needed including, but not limited to, ensuring invoices are paid in a timely fashion, and changes are processed correctly with Payroll and vendors
- Demonstrates a strong background in employee lifecycle analytics (e.g., recruitment, turnover, engagement metrics).
- Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvements while ensuring proper data integrity and audit processes.
- Support compliance reporting, including EEO, AAP, and other regulatory requirements and activities.
- Evaluate and recommend tools or system enhancements to improve and optimize reporting capabilities.
- Maintains company organizational charts
HRIS:
- Process ADP transactions including hiring, termination and transfer processes, along with organizational changes
- Maintain employee data and transactions in HR systems. Complete data audits across multiple systems, to ensure data integrity.
- Assists in the development of process and data controls to ensure data quality/data integrity within ADP Workforce Now Payroll system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required knowledge, skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in HR analytics, reporting, or related fields
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align reporting with business objectives
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, departments, divisions, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, proactively identify trends, storytelling and provide actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Work on ad-hoc tasks, assignments and projects as needed.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, vendors and shareholders.
Potential Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 annually
This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
