Our Client Service Team plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional experience to our investors—an exclusive group of current and former McKinsey Partners and their immediate family members. In this role, you will work closely with our international Client Service and Advisory teams across various locations and contribute to cross-functional projects within MIO.

 

Our Singapore team is a small but growing and dedicated group of professionals with investment expertise that covers clients across the Asia Pacific Region. Position

MIO’s Client Service team is seeking a highly motivated Client Service Specialist to join our global team based in Singapore. This is a client-facing role that entails providing investor relations support to MIO’s global clients which include McKinsey Partners and immediate family members. Further, the role entails investment operations support for MIO’s non-U.S. investment products and supporting internal project management. The CS Specialist will report to the Associate Director of Client Service who is based in Madrid, Spain.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Investment Offering Support and General Investor Relations

The CSS will share responsibility for the administration of the offering process for MIO’s hedge fund and private market funds and for responding to general inquiries from Partners and third parties. Tasks may include:

  • Review offering-related material from investors and assist with completion of required forms
  • Liaise with MIO Advisory team on investor suitability and with MIO Compliance on investor eligibility particularly for entity investors
  • Review and maintain investor account compliance, coordinating with clients, administrators, and MIO Compliance, while maintaining MIO’s client database
  • Liaise with MIO Finance team and third parties to ensure investor transactions are processed efficiently
  • Answer investor questions regarding balances, transactions, fund performance, or other MIO fund-related inquiries

 

Desired Background

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in a financial institution in Client Service or Investor Relations, ideally with high net-worth individuals
  • Experience with KYC requirements and CRS/FATCA documentation
  • An undergraduate degree in finance/banking/accounting
  • Strong computer skills, particularly skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • Initial experience with planning and driving internal projects
  • A basic understanding of investments and financial markets
  • Natural intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance and investor relations
  • Business fluent in English, other languages are a bonus

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess an extremely high service-orientation, be detail oriented, and very organized
  • Show strong skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication
  • Have integrity, discretion, and maturity when working with sensitive financial matters
  • Be a team player who places the interests of the organization and clients first and is accustomed to multitasking in a readily changing environment while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability
