We’re looking for a connected candidate that can lead and drive revenue growth for MiQ in Thailand. As part of the role you will be engaging with all major agency groups, as well as independent agencies and direct marketers, to build trusted media partnerships and develop technology and service-based relationships. The successful candidate will be required to lead and deliver the commercial strategy for this key market, and will be tasked with scoping and winning new business for our innovative programmatic products and solutions.
Success will require proactive and strategic approaches to new clients whilst also looking at ways to leverage the global relationships we have in place with holding companies. You will be equally comfortable presenting a complicated solution to all seniority levels, offering seamless connected thinking and innovative proposals that maximise the capabilities of MiQ. This role will play a key part in our growth strategy for JAPAC where it is our ambition to become MiQs second largest region by the end of 2026.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Delivering Numbers
- Consistently achieve regional/personal sales targets and delivering regular business updates from your market;
- Confident proposing, building and delivering compelling commercial deals that provide value for our regional clients;
- Responsible for pulling together a forecast each quarter for your book of business, feeding into the overall SEA and JAPAC forecast/budget;
- Interpret and analyse statistical data to maximise partnership opportunities, monitor competitive activity and provide regular progress reports;
- Liaise and work closely with other departments to establish the best business practice to maximise client success and commercial revenue.
Planning & Organising
- Self-sufficient in delivery, drawing in stakeholders when needed;
- Balance short- and long-term wins to maintain an even pace/ growth;
- Develop a strategy for the Thailand market in collaboration with senior management.
Persuading & Influencing
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients;
- Own the relationships with local agency teams, client partners, client leads, business and comms directors;
- Use excellent written communication to build award-winning solutions and presentations, which impact business decisions and answer challenges;
- Participate in local industry events and conferences.
Product Knowledge
- Proactive planning and collaboration to construct a simplified, but engaging narrative via great storytelling, tech explanation and proposal articulation;
- Curate, innovate and articulate an end-to-end programmatic solution from briefing stage to effective campaign delivery;
- Consistently articulate product position strategies and key selling messages;
- Spot opportunities in the market and make suitable recommendations to product to capitalise on them asap.
What you’ll bring
- A highly competent agency sales professional with a high level of integrity and commercial sales skills;
- Proven experience in selling and closing advertising deals and meeting revenue targets;
- Extremely strong relationships across a broad set of Agency Groups and clients;
- Experienced in detailed forecasting and cost management;
- Proven experience managing people, creating alignment of strategy and goals, while supporting the delivery of core objectives.
