The Role 

We’re looking for a Partnerships Manager to specialise in our subscriptions proposition to drive strategic partnerships that enhance our subscriptions and day-to-day money management features. These partnerships not only add significant value for our paying customers but also include high-profile, reputable brands, serving as a key pillar of our proposition. You will be pivotal in identifying, building, and managing relationships with partners that strengthen our Subscriptions and Core propositions. From creating compelling value propositions to scaling existing partnerships, you’ll work cross-functionally to deliver impactful collaborations that align with Monzo’s mission and growth ambitions.

What you’ll be working on: 

Partnership Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a partnership strategy to support the growth of Monzo’s core and subscription banking products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Explore opportunities for partnerships that enhance our core offerings, including current accounts and Subscriptions. Focus on securing partnerships with well-known, trusted brands that deliver meaningful benefits to our paying customers, reinforcing the value of Monzo's subscription services.

Leading Commercial Negotiations

  • Take ownership of commercial negotiations and contracting processes with new and existing partners to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Ensure that contracts align with Monzo’s strategic and operational goals, while fostering positive and productive relationships.

Scaling Existing Partnerships

  • Optimise and scale existing partnership pilots, such as those linked to joint accounts or U16 accounts.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
  • Build frameworks to monitor performance, track success metrics, and refine strategies based on outcomes.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyse spend trends and customer behaviour data to identify the most impactful partners to collaborate with or renew.
  • Use insights to shape recommendations and ensure partnership decisions align with strategic priorities.
  • Build frameworks to monitor performance, track success metrics, and refine strategies based on outcomes.

New Business Development

  • Identify, scout, and secure new partners that can elevate Monzo’s core banking proposition.
  • Work with internal teams to evaluate potential collaborations and present business cases to leadership.

Collaboration Across Teams

  • Experience with working with product management teams and product knowledge helpful but not essential
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, data science, and design teams to integrate partnerships seamlessly into Monzo’s customer journey.
  • Act as a liaison between partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and alignment on goals.

Commercial & Customer Impact Analysis

  • Conduct commercial analysis to assess the viability and potential impact of new and existing partnerships.
  • Develop data-backed recommendations to prioritise high-impact initiatives that deliver value to both Monzo and its customers.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of partnerships, from ideation to implementation and ongoing optimisation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring mutual success.
  • Analyse performance metrics to measure the success of partnerships and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine Monzo’s partnership strategy and align on long-term goals.
  • Work with our Product Operation teams

You Should Apply If:

  • You have a proven track record in partnerships, growth, or business development, ideally within banking, fintech, or tech environments.
  • You bring experience in building and scaling B2B and B2C partnerships that drive measurable growth.
  • You’re highly analytical, with the ability to query your own data and translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • You’re a natural collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments and can navigate technical and operational complexities.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, able to inspire both internal teams and external partners.
  • You’re passionate about Monzo’s mission to make money work for everyone.

The Interview Process:

Our interview process involves three main stages: 

  1. Recruiter Call (30mins)
  2. Initial Call (30 mins)
  3. x3 interviews via Google Meet (x3 45mins)

Our average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability.

What’s in it for you:

💰 Salary is £85,000 - £105,000 ➕ stock options 

📍 This role will be based out of our London office next to Liverpool Street station in a hybrid approach of office based and home working OR remotely within the UK
