Title: IT Automations Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL (Onsite, Full-Time)
Work Arrangement: This is an in-office position, open to local candidates only.
About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on IT Automations Engineer who excels at scaling automation and taking ownership of end-to-end orchestration within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, Azure Logic Apps/Functions, and the Microsoft Graph API. Additionally, you will manage Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and core Windows systems. The position also includes responsibilities for advancing our IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, enhancing workflows, service level agreements (SLAs), and processes related to change and incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation and Orchestration:
- Develop reliable automation scripts using PowerShell and Python for tasks such as user lifecycle management, permissions, provisioning, Exchange-related activities, and routine maintenance.
- Design and implement cloud workflows within Azure Logic Apps/Functions, integrating with the Microsoft Graph API and REST endpoints to achieve cross-system orchestration.
- Create and maintain Azure runbooks to support hybrid environment integrations.
Service Management (Jira Service Management):
- Develop Jira Service Management (JSM) queues, request types, workflows, SLAs, and automation processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve incident and change management procedures.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with IT, Security, and business teams to deliver robust and resilient solutions.
- Participate in scheduled after-hours changes as needed.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of solutions built.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in developing production-grade automations using PowerShell, Python, and Azure Logic Apps/Functions.
- Proficiency with REST API architecture.
- Solid background in Microsoft 365 administration, configuration management, and monitoring, and the Microsoft Graph API.
- Practical experience with ITSM platforms, including workflows, SLAs, automation rules, approvals, and reporting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, Git fundamentals, and best practices for code documentation and testing.
- Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences and write clear runbooks and playbooks.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–7+ years of experience in IT systems administration, including a minimum of 3 years focused on Microsoft cloud automation and orchestration.
