Revenue Cycle Client Billing Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Billing Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining collaborative and productive
relationships within the organization relating to Revenue Cycle Management, ensuring the accuracy and
completeness of billing data, resolving billing issues, maintaining accurate records, and preparing and
delivering client invoices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Ensures accurate and timely billing of all services.
● Identifies, researches, and resolves billing cases, collaborating with cross-functional teams to
prevent future issues.
● Analyzes billing trends and implements process improvements to enhance revenue cycle
performance.
● Coordinates with internal departments to ensure proper system configuration for accurate
invoicing.
● Develops and maintains efficient billing workflows and processes.
● Reviews and processes billing type updates, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
● Monitors billing performance, prepares reports, and escalates unresolved issues as needed.
● Identifies and leverages new technologies to drive continuous improvement in billing operations.
● Partners with management to address trends and issues impacting revenue cycle performance.
● Establishes an ongoing working relationship with other departments impacting revenue cycle
performance.
● Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● 3+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.
● Experience with Oracle and/or Salesforce preferred.
● Healthcare-related education or equivalent experience required.
● Ability to multitask and make sound decisions while handling confidential information.
● Thrives in a fast-paced environment with urgency and a strong customer focus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
● Proficiency with medical billing systems, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, medical terminology
and basic procedure coding knowledge.
● Accurate data entry and meticulous record keeping are essential.
● Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, problem solving and team player skills.
● Ability to navigate across multiple customer demands and balance competing priorities
successfully.
● Ability to analyze, identify and articulate identified trends and report trends succinctly in a clear
and concise manner.
● Ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills.
● Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
● Analytical skills required.
● Ability to think critically and identify the impact across the revenue cycle with a solution oriented
approach.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
● Duties typically performed in an office setting.
● This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone
and read printed material.
● Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and
weekends) at times.
