We currently have a need for a Cabling Project Coordinator to support an Enterprise Cable Plant Team with their project documents for capital improvement projects. The Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and assisting Structured Cabling Project Managers with the daily functions of a project. These daily functions include, but are not limited to tracking budgets, submitting change requests, organizing project folders, assisting with the bid process, assist in creating and updating PowerPoint presentations, policies, procedures and updating and editing the Structured Cabling Standards document. Global Financial Services, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Submit and track Change Requests for change management process
- Document and track Structured Cabling budget along with vendor invoicing, purchase orders and change orders for each project
- Create and edit PowerPoint presentations
- Create and edit Word and Excel documents
- Assist in creating and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project
- Organize project folders
- Shadow and provide support to Structured Cabling Project Managers
- Occasionally attend site visits and walk-throughs
- Assist in scheduling work for vendors
- Create and produce meeting minutes
- Assist with organizing and obtaining project closeout documents
- Report on project status
- Creates project schedules and maintains electronic and physical project files and job folders; develops and maintains financial records, files, and reports
- Uploads and maintains all Cabling Teams SharePoint and OneDrive documents
Skills required:
- At least 5 years’ experience supporting Project Managers on mid to large sized cable plant technology projects.
- Project experience following an ITIL and ITSM framework
- Experience in delivering services to customers with a track record of exceptional results.
- Ability to communicate internally and externally on all levels and through all mediums.
- Ability to apply project management principles, processes and tools to effectively manage projects.
- Experience in maintaining cable management databases
- Exposure to AutoCad a plus, with ability to read Architectural, IT and MEP drawings
- Very strong verbal and written communications
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and MS Project.
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
This position is onsite in Midtown, NYC with support of projects in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island paying a salary range of $100,000 to $115,000. Person must be willing to get vaccinated annually for influenza.
