We currently have a need for a Senior Network/Data Center Infrastructure Engineer supporting a Global Network Infrastructure Environment to migrated the environment from Cisco to Arista.   The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant work experience in a Global Network Environment.  Global Financial Services, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred.

 Responsibilities:

• Engineer solutions for the firm's largest customers and their highly-resilient network infrastructure
• Maintain LAN/WAN network, connectivity between all datacenters and extranets; contact vendors to establish connectivity; deploy and configure routers, switches, and security firewalls.
• Experience designing and configuring Arista and Cisco Switches and Routers, review technical requirements for deployment.
• Apply scripting and/or programming skills to automate network management, monitoring and reporting.
• Monitor latency, bandwidth utilization, and the general condition of the WAN; reporting on problems to the IT, Support and Trading teams on a real-time, 24x7 basis.
• Work with application developers to tune and optimize real-time systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline
• 7+ years’ experience with enterprise-level network design and deployment
• Proficient with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core routing and switching, LAN/WAN/ MAN services
• Proficient in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
• Mastery of Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, Load balancing, SPAN
• Experience with Arista and Cisco Nexus 9k, 7k, 5K, 2K configuration and design
• Ability to analyze and design network systems to achieve efficient and secure operation
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, including packet-level traffic analysis
• In-depth understanding of network security and access control
• Current Cisco data networking certifications i.e. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE strongly preferred.
• Experience working in large enterprise networks is desired. The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to these roles.

 Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
• Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

This position is onsite in NYC at least 3 days a week, paying a salary range of $110,000 to $115,000 annually.
