We are a passionate team of highly skilled engineers and top-tier designers based in Hong Kong. We develop diverse games for the Nex Playground, covering genres like arcade, action, rhythm, puzzle, and educational. Our hit titles include Starri, Bluey, Mirrorama, Cookie Monster, and Tumbobots, Doodle Heads, Elmo Says, etc.

As a game audio assistant, you will be coached by professional audio and sound experts and collaborate with passionate game developers and top-tier artists and designers in Hong Kong. More details below.

What You Will Do

  • Audio Implementation: Integrate sound effects (SFX), background music (BGM), and voice-overs (VO) into Unity, ensuring seamless audio playback and synchronization with gameplay mechanics.
  • Sound Design & Editing: Create, edit, and polish high-quality sound effects and musical elements tailored for family-friendly, interactive experiences.
  • VO Management: Edit, clean up, and organize voice-over recordings, ensuring consistent volume levels, clarity, and proper naming conventions for localization and integration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, developers, and product teams to define the audio direction and enhance the overall player immersion.
  • Optimization: Optimize audio assets (compression, format selection, memory management) to ensure smooth performance across various platforms.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Passion for Quality: You care deeply about audio details—from the punchiness of an SFX to the emotional resonance of music—and aim for world-class quality.
  • Unity Experience: Familiarity with integrating audio assets and using audio systems/mixers within the Unity game engine.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Reaper, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
  • Audience Focus: Enthusiastic about creating family-friendly experiences suitable for kids, parents, and seniors.
  • Growth Mindset: Humble, eager to learn, open to feedback, and adaptable to iterative game development cycles.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communicator, able to coordinate timeline and deliverables smoothly in a flexible work environment.
