Football Development Associate (External Agency)

This position will support the Football Development department in the following areas. Note: this is a 6-month leave coverage position. 

Youth to HS Pathway Support 

  • Contribute towards the development of an annual marketing and communications calendar to support Football Development events and initiatives throughout the year 
  • Manage dashboard of NFL Club activations and content from events during the preseason and regular season 
  • Support planning and execution of the Don Shula Coach of the Year and Play Football Youth Coach of the Week programs, including award amplification, nomination workflows, and product distribution logistics 
  • Lead onboarding support for new NFL Club Football Development staff by maintaining and updating distribution lists and contact databases and facilitating introductions to internal teams and external partners. 
  • Support with NFHS officiating initiatives to strengthen partnerships and special recognition of HS officiating crews nationwide 
  • Aid with planning of meetings, agendas, and deliverables to NFL Clubs, internal departments, and external partners 

College to Pro Pathway Support 

  • Build schedule for upcoming NFL College outreach in-person presentations. 
  • Help design materials and resources for College Outreach presentations on campus and in-person visits being conducted at the NFL League Office 
  • Develop agendas and recap materials for College Outreach initiatives (Bowl Season, NFL Office visits, College All-Star Games, Specialist Showcase, HBCU Showcase) 
  • Assist with GamePlan e-course creation and Newsletter distribution 

Operational Support with League Events 

  • Assist in the creation of Football Development presentation materials for cross-org meetings 
  • Manage creative requests with AP and NFL Social for NFL tentpole events and Football Development events 
  • Attend cross-org meetings, identify opportunities to amplify FD initiatives, support with onsite execution 
  • Build Football Development staff guides for internal staff and partners in conjunction with League Events (Draft, Hall of Fame) 
  • Contribute towards planning and coordination of activations onsite and creating post-event recaps to measure impact of Football Development events across the league calendar. 

Required Qualifications 

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in administration, communications, or operations at the collegiate and/or professional sports level 
  • B.A./B.S. required

  • Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skills 
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments 
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask efficiently, even in high-pressure environments 
  • Highly developed verbal and written skills are necessary 
  • Very strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) 

Terms /Expected Hours of Work: 

This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency. 

Salary

$25 - $27 USD
