About the project 

As a Senior Backend Python Engineer, you will design, build, and scale robust backend services that power our core platforms. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing system performance, establishing architecture best practices, and mentoring junior engineers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions.  

What you’ll do 

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure backend microservices using Python and modern frameworks. 

• Optimize core database queries, data models, and system architecture to ensure low latency and high availability. 

• Architect clean, reusable, and well-documented APIs (RESTful/GraphQL) to support seamless integrations with front-end and third-party systems. 

• Lead the transition towards cloud-native solutions, leveraging modern cloud infrastructure and automated CI/CD pipelines. 

• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers through constructive code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance. 

• Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and frontend teams to define technical requirements and deliver impactful features. 

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and system vulnerabilities to maintain high code-quality standards. 

• Establish and enforce best practices for automated testing, documentation, and continuous integration within the engineering team. 

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to continuously improve backend capabilities and operational efficiency. 

• Drive technical decision-making and ownership across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). 

What makes you a great fit 🎯 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• 10+ Years of experience working with Python. 

• Strong experience working in distributed systems and service design. 

• Solid experience with a data-centric product. 

• Solid experience with PostgreSQL. 

• Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
