About the Controllership team

The mission of the Controllership team is to ensure the correct accounting of the products offered to Nubank's customers and to guarantee that all accounting information and the reports derived from this information comply with applicable regulatory requirements. The team works on developing accounting scripts, financial statements, establishing internal controls, among other processes. We are always seeking efficiency and security with the information generated internally.

You will be responsible for 

  • Be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and the accounting consolidation of group companies, ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.
  • Perform reconciliation, guaranteeing data accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize the area's processes, aiming for greater operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a point of contact for various business areas, providing accounting analyses and guidance to support strategic decision-making.

We are looking for a person who has 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with accounting practices in the financial services segment, including familiarity with Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) regulations;
  • Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, and conversation);
  • Solid knowledge and experience with accounting closing routines and financial statement preparation;
  • Knowledge and practical experience with IFRS accounting standards;
  • Familiarity with SAP accounting modules (FI / MM).

Our Nu Way Of Working

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. For every eight or two weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
