Role Overview

In this role, you will report to the Chief People and Experience Officer and be a driving force behind our people strategy, partnering with leaders to foster a thriving, inclusive, and innovative culture that empowers our team to achieve bold goals. With a focus on people analytics and strategic initiatives, you’ll help us shape programs that enable our team to flourish and make an impact on the world. 

 

Location: Hybrid (Whitby or Kincardine) 

Positions Available: 1 

Salary Range: 80-100k (Exact compensation may vary)

 

As a People & Experience Partner, you will provide hands-on and strategic HR support across various aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, talent and performance management, engagement, organizational development, conflict resolution, and change management. You will also leverage people analytics to guide decision-making, identify trends, and inform strategic priorities. Your work will drive excellence, innovation, and continuous process improvement within our People and Experience team. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Strategic Partner: Provide data-driven insights and advice to our leadership team on workforce planning, coaching, leadership development, learning and development (L&D), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and wellbeing initiatives. 
  • Lead Performance & Talent Processes: Facilitate performance reviews, compensation processes, and talent planning, supporting career development and succession planning for our team members. 
  • Enhance Employee Experience: Develop and maintain smooth employee experiences by automating workflows, creating clear documentation, optimizing processes, and delivering high-quality service. 
  • Drive Learning & Development: Support the design and implementation of an L&D strategy through mentorship programs, cross-training, onboarding enhancements, and utilization of personal learning budgets. 
  • Leverage People Analytics: Analyze people data to identify trends, assess the impact of initiatives, and recommend actionable insights to enable better decision-making and strategic planning. 
  • Champion Strategic Initiatives: Identify and lead key people initiatives that align with business priorities, contributing to areas like organizational design, engagement, and culture development. 
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Manage administrative tasks, including the security clearance process, and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations. 

 

What you bring to the table? 

  • Have 4+ years of experience in HR (ideally as an HR Business Partner) or related field.  
  • Self-driven and able to prioritize work using business strategy as a guide. 
  • Strong ability to organize and interpret people data using HR tools and systems. 
  • Proven ability to build trusting partnerships across the business and effectively advise leaders. 
  • Deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable provincial, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. 
  • Experience managing a team or interest in developing leadership skills to oversee direct reports in the future. 
  • Expertise in formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, and data validation 
  • A track record of enabling fast-growing teams and fostering an inclusive and innovative workplace culture. 
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada 

Bonus points:  

  • Thrives in dynamic environments, learns from experience, and responds quickly to shifting priorities. 
  • Embraces innovation and continuous improvement in all aspects of work. 
  • Familiarity with enabling growth in SaaS, fintech, or similar fast-paced industries. 
  • Dashboard Creation – Experience building HR dashboards that consolidate data from multiple sources (Excel, HR Systems, surveys) for decision-making. 
  • Previous experience working in consulting is a plus
