Senior Product Manager, AI
Obsidian Security was founded in 2017 to solve the unaddressed blindspot of SaaS Security. SaaS applications provide the tools employees need to succeed and hold the business’ most critical information. If those tools become unavailable or that data is jeopardized, there is a detrimental impact on the organization.
Obsidian proudly offers the industry's most comprehensive and powerful SaaS defense solution. We are committed to solving the challenge of SaaS Security for our customers as efficiently and effectively as possible.
We’re a passionate team optimizing for impact by solving some of the biggest challenges in cybersecurity today. We listen closely to our customers, iterate quickly, and (over) deliver to delight them. Working at Obsidian means contributing to an industry-leading cybersecurity product in an environment where customer satisfaction, privacy, and data ethics are paramount.
Obsidian Security is seeking a skilled product manager with deep expertise in cybersecurity and a passion for artificial intelligence (AI) to lead the development of cutting-edge security products. You will help customers solve fast-growing SaaS security problems by developing and executing a strategic roadmap, collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions. You will work closely with data scientists, security researchers, engineers, and customers to bring innovative AI-powered features to market. This is a highly strategic role with a direct impact on the safety and resilience of digital ecosystems across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own product strategy and roadmap for AI-based cybersecurity products (e.g., threat detection, behavior analytics, anomaly detection, threat intelligence, etc.).
- Partner with engineering, data science, and threat research teams to design and develop scalable and effective security solutions.
- Conduct extensive market research to understand customer pain points, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape in SaaS security, with a focus on identity and data security.
- Define and monitor product success metrics (e.g., threat detection efficacy, false positives, model performance, customer adoption).
- Develop a compelling product strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company's mission to secure SaaS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centric product solutions that prioritize usability and security outcomes.
- Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and validate product concepts.
- Act as a product evangelist, effectively communicating the value proposition to customers, partners, and internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 2–3 years in cybersecurity and/or AI/ML-focused products.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (Zero Trust, etc.).
- Experience with AI/ML technologies: anomaly detection, supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP/LLMs, graph analytics, etc.
- Strong communication skills — bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage product lifecycle from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, or cloud security products.
- Experience in handling data privacy, model governance, and adversarial attacks on AI systems.
- Background working in a B2B SaaS, cybersecurity vendor, or enterprise security team.
- Hands-on experience in identity security, access management, or data governance.
- Prior experience in an enterprise security team with a strong understanding of enterprise security needs, workflows, and key stakeholders.
- Experience bringing security products to market, including go-to-market strategy and customer engagement.
