About the Role

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Medical Editor, you'll be at the heart of our quality control, responsible for:
- Ensuring Editorial Excellence: You'll be editing for key accounts to ensure excellence in the quality, accuracy, clarity, and functionality of a wide range of material types across diverse therapy areas. This means incredible variety in your day-to-day work, all contributing to the best work of our lives.
- Shaping Processes: You'll contribute to the development of style guides and editing processes, refining our editing workflow to maintain our high standards.
- Leading & Mentoring: You'll have the opportunity to line manage junior editors, guiding and developing the next generation of talent, fostering a spirit of doing it together.
- Making a real impact: Your meticulous eye will directly support therapies in areas like cardio-renal metabolic disease, and potentially neuroscience, immunotherapy, and dermatology, ensuring all communications are flawless and impactful. This is about more than just words; it's about doing the right thing for patients and healthcare professionals.

What You’ll Need
- Your strong scientific foundation is key to understanding complex data and ensuring its accuracy.
- You're a seasoned editor with a proven track record in a med comms agency setting.
- Extensive experience of quality control processes, including editing and conducting close-reads.
- Proven experience of creating and applying style guides.
- Ability to create and manage EndNote databases, and conduct searches in a variety of databases (e.g., familiarity with PubMed MeSH search terms and the use of tools such as PubReMiner).
- Understanding of copyright requirements, ability to obtain permissions/assess licensing options, and knowledge of and compliance with key guidelines, including Sunshine Act and ABPI guidelines.
- Experience in cardio-renal metabolic disease is highly desirable. Bonus points for neuroscience, immunotherapy, or dermatology!
- Experience with pharma systems such as Veeva, PubMap, SourceClear, etc., for management of content approvals is a plus.
