Role:  Social Media Manager

Location:  Amsterdam, Netherlands

Employment: 12-month FTC with view to extend

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategically minded Social Media Manager to join a newly built global in‑house studio in Amsterdam, created for a leading domestic appliances brand.

This role is central to shaping and delivering the brand’s owned social presence, working within a social‑first framework across core platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. You’ll collaborate closely with the Social & Influencer Director, Influencer Manager, Content Creators, and strategy teams to turn insight and ideas into high‑performing, culturally relevant social content.

Operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and community, you’ll help ensure the brand shows up authentically, consistently, and impactfully - while also embracing new ways of working, including the smart use of AI‑powered tools.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Social Media Management

  • Execute multi‑channel social strategies to grow reach, engagement, and relevance across Instagram and TikTok
  • Own and manage organic content calendars, ensuring content is timely, on‑brand, and platform‑native
  • Write and adapt copy in the brand’s tone of voice, ensuring clarity, personality, and consistency
  • Work closely with Content Creators to brief, review, and optimise content
  • Support the development of TikTok‑specific approaches to drive discovery and audience growth
  • Nurture the brand’s community with a community‑first mindset — listening, responding, and engaging meaningfully
  • Identify opportunities to surprise and delight audiences through reactive and proactive engagement
  • Track KPIs and performance metrics, producing regular reports and recommendations for optimisation

Client & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a day‑to‑day social contact for internal and client stakeholders, championing social best practice
  • Receive and interpret briefs, helping translate them into clear and actionable outputs for creatives and partners
  • Support the development of tone‑of‑voice guidance, FAQs, and copy frameworks
  • Present social content ideas, outputs, and performance insights confidently to stakeholders

Innovation & Ways of Working

  • Support the integration of AI tools into social planning, listening, ideation, and reporting
  • Stay up to date with platform updates, trends, and best practices, sharing learnings with the team
  • Continuously look for smarter, faster, and more effective ways to deliver social output

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE

  • 5+ years’ experience in social media management, ideally within an agency or in‑house studio environment
  • Hands‑on experience managing Instagram and TikTok accounts for consumer brands
  • Strong understanding of social content formats, creator‑led storytelling, and community behaviour
  • Experience collaborating with content creators, influencers, and agencies
  • Confident stakeholder manager with clear and professional communication skills
  • Data‑driven mindset, comfortable analysing performance and applying insights
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and new technologies in social marketing
